This is currently my fifth year as a 4th and 5th grade Learning Support teacher.  I teach support classes for 4th Grade ELA Phonics, 4th Grade Math, 5th Grade ELA Phonics, and 5th Grade Math.  Additionally, I pull small groups during each grade level's Intervention/Enrichment period throughout the school year.
Teaching Background
This is my fifth year as a 4th and 5th Learning Support teacher at Grandview Elementary.  Prior to being hired full time at Grandview, I worked one year as a K-3rd Learning Support teacher within Ligonier Valley School District.
I was able to work for an entire year as a long term substitute at Derry Area in 2014-2015.  I began at the Middle School in Learning Support, before working as the Gifted Support teacher from K - 8th grade and I closed out the year working in the High School within 10th and 11th grade Learning Support.
I have served as a teacher for the Derry Kindergarten Summer Transition School for two years prior to being hired full time.
Prior to my long term employment within Derry, I subbed extensively within Hempfield Area School District.  I was a long term substitute teacher for third grade for part of a year, and Kindergarten for two years.
I have served as a teacher for the Derry Kindergarten Summer Transition School for two years prior to being hired full time.
In addition to my teaching background, I have experience as a TSS (Therapeutic Support Staff), and PCIA (Personal Care Instructional Aide).
Finally, for three years I was the Assistant Coach for the Spartan All-Star Athletes Swim Team and Track and Field Team.  These teams represented Hempfield in the Special Olympics.
