Education: I earned my Bachelor degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. I relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado and earned my Masters of Arts in Teaching specializing in Secondary Science. Currently in Pennsylvania I am certified in Chemistry, Biology, and General Science, levels 6-12.
Work Experience: After earning my Master's degree, I taught in Colorado Springs for 15 years. Upon deciding to move back to Pennsylvania, I held various year-long Long Term Substitute positions at Latrobe, Jeannette, and Westmont Hilltop School Districts. I was hired by Derry for a permanent position for the 2018-2019 school year. Throughout the years I have taught a variety of science classes, including real time outdoor adventures, taking students to hike and camp on Pike's Peak. I have taught: Anatomy, Astronomy, Biology, Honors Biology, Chemistry in the Community, Conceptual Chemistry, Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, Earth Science, Basic Earth Science, Mythbusters, Physical Science, and Science of Crime. While I have a passion for all science classes, my favorite subjects are Anatomy and Chemistry.
