Department and Courses Taught

I am Chair of the English Department and currently teach ELA 7 and Advanced ELA 7 courses. 

Education

I attended Saint Vincent College and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, focused on English and Political Science. I also earned my PA Teacher Certification in Secondary English 7-12 from Saint Vincent College. I earned my Masters Equivalency through coursework at the University of Pennsylvania.

Work Experience 

I have worked at our Middle School since 2005. I taught ELA 8 and Advanced ELA 8 for the first seven years of my career before becoming one of our district’s Instructional Coaches for five years. Upon returning to the classroom with students, I moved to teaching ELA 7 and Advanced ELA 7. I’ve also taught courses on Writing Analysis. 

I am the editor of our middle school’s newspaper, The Trojan Torch. I have also coached our school’s WIRC reading team for over a decade. I love working with middle school students and enjoy helping them push themselves to grow as both learners and young adults!
