hi thanks for joining us for storytime my name is Bobby Jones on the early childhood education liaison if you hold your hand up here can you make a rainbow that means hello then take your two fingers time to say hello I have some items in my box that we're going to in the story after we guess what they are I want you to guess what our story might be about ready my boss an animal and this animal is imaginary play they're all so great to help your child develop social and emotional skills this is Mother Goose to be a great puppet to you nursery rhymes here and you can read a long story with Pete the Cat and His groovy buttons can you guess who this is this is the troll from The Three Billy Goats Gruff and she doesn't like it if you want to cross the bridge also finger puppets where you can stick the little puppets on your fingers to help tell the story kind of like we did in our story today I have another puppet from a story that's popular can you guess who this is give me a close look this is the big bad wolf from Little Red Riding Hood there are also puppets you can use on a glove at this club is made of felt so you can stick Velcro little people or even animals tell keep telling your story as you go along stick puppet or an expensive and easy to just use pictures from a story mine are just taped or hot glued to the back of a paper straw these are from one of my favorite stories peanut butter and cupcake and you can give those to your child to help pack the story out but even though peanut butter and cupcake are good together peanut butter and jelly are always together another fun and inexpensive way to have a puppy is by using a paper bag all different kinds of materials to make your different puppet so I used type cleaners stickers and a little pompom for its nose so you can act out and creative as much as you want to have fun telling a news story with your puppet we hope you enjoy your puppet what to do when someone doesn't share Mississippi and mow nippy and Moe are working on their art project so it's taking all the stickers there won't be any stickers left for zippy boys and girls how do you think he feels Zippy field ad can you tell Zippy's what's 2 * sorting activity sorting is when we group things that are alive in some way today we're going to start by deciding if things are something that we can eat like this chicken leg or something that we can not eat like the dinosaur if it's something can eat will put it on this tray it's something we can tease will put it on this tray okay let's go I have a pair of scissors or scissors something you can eat or something that you can write this is something we cannot eat scissors cut paper we're going to put the scissors over here with a dinosaur since we can't eat those you know what this is sometime comes in a red color to it said apple is an apple something we don't eat or is it something to eat it's something we eat is super yummy I have something yummy to it's a piece of pizza is pizza something that we can eat like the apple and chicken leg or something that we cannot eat like the dinosaur and scissors if you said it's something to eat you're correct Pizza something that we can eat daddy bear do we not eat them if you said we don't eat them you're right will put him right there here's an egg you like eggs I like eggs sometimes are eggs something that we do not eat or some I meant we could eat you're right eggs are something that we could eat how about that Bork do we eat our Fork we don't eat them actually we help they actually help us eat our food but we don't need actual Fork Google put it over here what other stories ideas can you come up with a fun at home sorting all kinds of objects have fun learning together friends thank you for joining us at
