Education and Degrees
I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and received a Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education Pre-K to 4th Grade and a Bachelor's of Science in Special Education Pre-K to 8th Grade. Later, I took additional tests to receive the add-on certifications of 5th and 6th Grades. During my first years of teaching, I attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania to pursue my Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. I have also completed additional credits through the Math and Science Collaborative through the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, as well as through Advancement Courses online.
Current Position
I am currently a 4th grade Math and Social Science teacher at Grandview Elementary School.
Background
Previously, I was a 4th and 5th grade- Learning Support teacher at Grandview. Before being hired, I completed a year of long-term substitute positions at a variety of local schools including second grade, gifted support, and learning support. In the Spring of 2013, I student taught at Derry in second grade and sixth grade learning support.
