Work Experience

I began my career in 1986 when I was hired by the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit #7 as a Learning Support and Emotional Support teacher at Ligonier Valley R.K. Mellon Elementary School and Ligonier Valley High School. I followed my career path to the Greater Latrobe School District working at Latrobe Elementary School teaching in a Life Skills as well as a Multi-Handicapped classroom followed by opening an Autistic Support classroom at Baggley Elementary School. In 1992, I accepted a job at Derry Area Middle School as a Learning Support teacher grades 6-8 until 2019 when the the position of the Derry Area Middle School Life Skills Support classroom (grades 6-12) teaching position was offered to me.
